About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn from other people, get to know their culture and habits.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Jiyong Jung, 26 old guy that loves to make new friends and have fun. I have been some country for traveling and volunteering. And I realized that you can find the best people in the world. Actually, I have met so many amazing soul mates and we have built many many great memories together. Now, I call them 'my bro'!

If I describe myself in one sentence, it could be 'I'm a happy person that always smile and try to make smile others.', because I love people. So I always try to be helpful and love to share my things, hand and even experience.

If you are coming to travelling Korea, my house will be your house. I'll do my best to give you the best time of your life while you are with me. This is how I can make this world a better and fun place! I'll try to make your stay as safe and magical as possible. I'm always ready for being friends, traveling, dreams and adventures. I love having people at home!!

And now I'm going to travel to countries in Europe. I plan to travel about a year, and I don't know what's gonna br happen. However, the trip always gives me a great impression as a gift with new great friend.

I wish I can be your gift in your life.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life, Be happy and Make world happy

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I read a book of one Korean family(Mom, her daughter and son) about traveling Europe by Couchsurfing. And i got a dream traveling by CS to meet people, learn about different culture and habits and let them know about Korea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a lot in this travel. Every single experience was amazing. Learning culture from local is best way to travel, in my opinion.

Interests

- Making friends and talking with them. When I talk with people, who lived differently from me, about life, I can learn many things(different think, belief, culture, habit and so on).

- Hanging out with friends. For example, watching movie, listening music, having party, drinking some alcohol. I have preference for each example, but I actually don't care any type and always enjoy and kind of it.

- Taking a photograph. Honestly, i'm not good at photography, but I like capture a moment of nature or people. (for example, beautiful view of nature, happy of sad moment of someone, and so on.) So I can remember every important moment of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

- Favorite movie is romance (If Only, Love Actually, Midnight in Paris, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight) But enjoy any other kind of movies, too. SF, Thrill, Drama, Comedy, and so on.

- Favorite music is rock. (Beatles, Aviril Lavigne, Franz Ferdinand, Korean Indies and so on) I also love jazz, classic and new-age. And I'm interesting in every kind of music (reggae, hip-hop, etc.), because I believe music has power to touch people's mind.

- Favorite book is ('Blue' by Tsuji Hitonari and 'Rosso' by Ekuni Kaori, who are Japanese) and by Murakami Haruki who is also Japanese. But I always enjoy reading any kinds of novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Volunteering at Yotvata in Israel. Kibbutz Volunteering is my best experience in my whole life ever. I made many friend from all over the world and had fun life. There are so many reason as I can't explain, but I really learned many many things about the world, because it was my first time meet and hang out with foreign friends.

- Sunset on Tonle Sap Lake in Angkor Wat, Cambodia. In the middle of lake, in the amazing environment (horizon all round, calm except for the beautiful song of some birds, a rustling wind) then, huge and beautiful sun is going down. It was like heaven! I can't even explain 10% of that moment and my feeling.
