Chi sono

A curious Chinese girl always keen to try new things and get to understand every culture. Did sociology for undergraduate in Beijing and now studying digital design at Edinburgh College of Art.

Not professional but just paint what I meet in life
Do crafting with anything
Love singing and willing to learn some foreign melodies
Keyboard, long time haven't played though
Either quiet or wild
Sociological relativism
Come on strange foods or drinks, but prefer the tasty one anyway XD
Skilled in Chinese cuisine and we can share an international meal ˆ ˆ
Would be so grateful if anyone can help me start with tango

Hope to know friends and stories from all over the world in my master year abroad╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ Well yes you know, it's really hard to get access to foreigners while in China

It could be difficult for the first steps and even the process but, if it's still in your mind, then it's worth a risk.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I feel staying with other people is like, the sympathetic similar characters are enlarged, letting you to dig out your potentials/possibilities of another way of life, and the differences are kept like an amazing collection of the variety of the human world. Then you are able to live as a comprehensive and flexible individual.

I see in my hometown Beijing where people come everyday to the crowded tourist places, having those so-called authentic foods which locals might never try, and the images of the several world-known things become the city.

This is not an argument for the authenticity, the populars got their reasons to be what they are, and the buildings foods and everything show the character of the place of course, but I'd still wonder about the "life" and the people. I'll most likely to remember that I met someone when recalling a place and define the place by the people there. With CS I was able to have access to them and have unpredictable fun experience in the places I travelled to, and then I know I should go on with it.

But anyway for a poor student it's just such a burden to see the world when you have time but no money and I shouldn't just skip this reason hypocritically right :P.

After staying at others' place for several times I was really grateful for what I was offered, and I thought I can and should do this too. Proud to be a host and now understand more about the "Couchsurfing spirit" based on the mutual respect that I often read on other hosts' pages ^^ It's also great when you have no time or energy for traveling but are still able to see the world through others' eyes.

Musica, film e libri

I read quite many books about social science and history, but my favorite is Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino - admire it more after traveling to more places
