Music, Movies, and Books
As a adventure fanatic, I can’t get enough of travel documentaries! But I’m interested in all types of movies depending on my mood… the only genre I don’t usually enjoy are horror movies with lots of jump scares.
For music, I especially like “Americana” — folk, country and anything else that tells stories of real life in my home countries. Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Johnny Cash, Jason Isbell, Fred Eaglesmith and the Drive-By Truckers are some of my favourite’s
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the madness club: dashing from a 200˚F sauna into the himalayan winter air at -50˚ for a quick 250˚ temperature drop, then running outside a few hundred yards to the South pole and back, wearing nothing but tennis shoes!

What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to talk to my hosts about their culture and country, as well as about their lives, travels. I’m always up for a good back-and-forth conversation and exploring a new part of the world. A local’s knowledge can open up a place like nothing else!
I can share a good coffee, a good movie or a good party which could go nowhere or minimally somewhere. I can cook some local food but it’s better if that skill is not tested after my recent cooking reviews :/
Also, with my host’s permission, I usually save their home address and send them postcards from my travels. I think it’s a fun way to keep in touch, and they make perfect souvenirs that don’t fill up your bag!
