About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life experience

ABOUT ME

On the endless path of finding myself.

My spiritual voodoo is found in the outdoors, whether its in the desert, on the coast, high up in the mountains, down low in the valleys, underwater with the fishies, or climbing up some trees in the forest (although I don't condone that behavior as a fall from heights can be fatal) I'm usually there.

I believe in balance, as a fundamental concept to all life and consciousness. Basically - if you punch a clown, he's probably going to punch you back.

I got a whole lot of love and a whole lot of jokes. Generally very content person, happy on my own or around people. Even better when alcohol or coffee is involved.

MY LIFE PHILOSOPHY
Respect your surroundings.
Understand your actions.
Meditate and stretch every day.
Look up, the world is out there, not in here.
Don't give good advice away quickly.
A little sun a day.
Be an idiot.
Improve yourself a little every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and surfed multiple times.

Interests

I have a lot of hobbies and interests and really struggle to stay focused on one thing for too long.

I play ukulele, and sing too. I'm pretty much on the same level as a combination Luciano Pavarotti and Israeli Kamakawiwoʻole with an Australian accent.

I cook
I hike
I snowboard
I read
I can play: poker, pool, some arcade games, table tennis at a mediocre to drunk level.
I like toying with the idea of learning odd languages, like how to speak to dogs or fish.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: Darren Hanlon; Billy Joel; Xavier Rudd; Bach; Armin Van Buuren; Explosions in the Sky; Ratatat; The Church; INXS;

Favorite books: Hmm... I'm just going to say genres here: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, True Crime, Spritual Books (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance), Classics (Don Quixote, Crime and Punishment, Huckleberry Finn, Great Expectations).. Special mention goes to Iain Banks and Robert Harris, both rad authors.

Movies: Nope, seen too many, and been too hollywoodized to really know what a good movie is anymore. Lets just say Kevin Smith makes me laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I caught a ball once and threw it back to the person who had thrown it to me.
Hmm. Snorkeled and scuba dived in Thailand and the Caribbean.
Hiked through some of the most remote areas in New Zealand, whilst fighting the endless hordes of sand flies.
Kayaked and hung out with dolphins.

Teach, Learn, Share

Singing with and playing the Ukulele, I'm good for a campfire. I'm currently trying to learn Russian, I'd like to holiday in Ukraine and Russia next year (2018). I've amassed a number of random facts and thoughts over my life that I'm more than willing to share in a fairly disorganized fashion. Once upon a time I played the violin, but, those days are behind me... for now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an excellent cook. I've got some fantastic stories to go along with any occasion. I bring my ukulele along with me and can share some music.
