For me, traveling around the world is all about meeting the all the amazing people around the world. They are the true experts of their countries, showing the vibrant culture that makes up each country. What better way to learn about a country than to stay with someone who've lived and breathed in the area and are generous enough to offer their homes for fellow travelers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing experiences was on a outdoor climbing wall. I had just started climbing and wasn't used to being up so high. It was rough going, but I persisted, always looking for the next hold. I had such elation when I reached the top, then turn around to one of the most beautiful landscapes that I've ever seen. I had gotten above the treeline so that I had an unobstructed view of the the land around me. The trees fell away and looked like mere pinpricks upon a mountain that looked so majestic in the background. Just then, an eagle flew by, surveying the land and for the first time, I could see all that it could see. That was the moment that I decided that rock climbing was going to be a passion of mine for many years to come.
