About Me

In 2012, I flipped a coin and went on my first solo-backpacking trip to Eastern Canada. I wanted to understand what it meant to be Canadian at the time, and it unfolded into something greater - it gave me the chance to connect with people all over the world and expanded my perspective beyond my usual social circle. What a pleasant shock it was! My life hasn’t been the same ever since.

Growing up, I struggled to find the sense of belonging between the two cultures I grew up in. Travelling the world at a slower pace and immersing in different cultures made me integrate and embody (with my heart) the experiences, influences, and connections. It taught me to appreciate the different nuances, embrace the fluidity and find my own path of belonging.

From then, a series of events prompted me to break away from my previous way of life and delve into spirituality. My current focus is to uncover the layers of "self," physical/emotional/spiritual healing, and live my daily life aligned with my inner truth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a unique way to travel outside the beaten path and connect deeper with the local people and their day-to-day experiences. I feel that human connections are becoming more important than ever in today’s world. CS is one of the ways to meet people from all walks of life, hear stories and see the world through many lenses that would otherwise perhaps easily pass by. I believe genuine, heart-centred connections are the simplest ways to be of service and empower each other on our paths of personal growth and discovery.
