Overview
About Me
I have been a teacher for close to a decade and enjoy the spending time in company of children. Talking together, playing games, discovering new treks,
I love hot hot chai, cold ice-cream, cold water baths, lukewarm sarcarsm and ambient global temperatures :P
I think in Hindi and struggle in Tamil.
Once, merely a shy bathroom singer, I have grown to be less affected by the judgement of others and enjoy singing in groups.
I'm a work in progress...not quite the fine wine i thought I would grow to be. Sometimes, me talk too much. Me sometimes quiet. Sometimes me say complicated things that confuse people. Sometimes me say inappropriate things at inappropriate times (not to intentionally hurt people)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE
Travelling new places is incomplete without connecting with the people of the place. I enjoy listening to stories.
MY EXPERIENCE SO FAR...
It has been pretty amazing to say the least. The people I've met have shared and inspired me in some way or the other. I loved hosting people and show them around when I have time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Nature plays a new tune everyday. My choice of music has changed drastically over the last few years. I rarely listen to any new music. However I do enjoy soundscapes from nature, ambient acoustic music (language no bar) and an occasional throwback playlist that gets me grooving.
Although I cannot watch a movie by myself, I have grown to enjoy well chosen films in the company of friends. Fictional accounts appeals to me the least.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Anything done with love and attention becomes extraordinary. As cheesy as that sounds, living close to nature and sharing a connect with it has been beautiful part of my learnings.
Amongst some of my most cherished memories, midnight swim under the stars at a sparkling bioluminiscent beach is close to my heart. A few other experiences include...
- Learnt how to grow food
- Learnt carpentry, built a roof with a group of students.
- Full moon night walks and no moon night walks.
- Several 100+ kilometers of hikes and treks.
- Couple of long distance cycle trips.
Teach, Learn, Share
In the company of Nature and young children, if one can quietly observes everything that goes around and within oneself, there is a actual learning that can take place.
