ABOUT ME

I travel a lot to teach or to help with teaching programs. I'm a Buddhist nun, but don't worry, I'm not interested in converting you! I'm kind of quiet but friendly and I like people and animals. I studied art, and I enjoy taking photos when I travel. I like travelling and meeting new people and new animals, and experiencing how the spirit expresses itself through different cultural and religious beliefs and artistic creations. I like to think that I have friends in every corner of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not home very much, but when I am, there's usually a visitor or two and we love spending time with new people. I haven't participated through this website yet, but I travel a lot and when I have a chance to meet local people, the experience is so much richer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new in this group, but I have spent a lot of time at the homes of friends and also hosting lots of people that I met through personal contacts.

Interests

Meditating, movies, animals, making friends. Before I was travelling so much I had a beautiful garden and some wonderful pets. Now I'm friends with the wild animals here. I hate to say it but I like studying and reading. I hope you don't think that means I'm boring!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of them. I like science fiction, Harry Potter, the Bible, Lam Rim Chenmo, Rumi, Emily Dickenson, Charles de Lint. I like the kind of fantasy movies that were adapted from comic books and children's movies best.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about Buddhist philosophy and meditation, and I'm happy to share what I know. I know lots of yoga and even though I'm not too good at it I'd be happy to pass on what I know, especially for people with physical challenges. I'm also quite good at vegetarian cooking and gardening. I'd like to learn how to play music and I got a ukulele to start, because it's small and travels well.
