Anyways, I'm one of those nodmic types. Normally I prefer to camp or use a hostel, but sometimes things call for meeting awesome people and crashing on their couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had almost zero experience with Couchsurfing because when I started travelling, I found out quickly that Americans don't like to host other Americans. I learned about squatting and supplemented that with camping when a squat wasn't available to me.

I'm hoping to actually use Couchsurfing now that I'm outside the U.S. but only time will tell how effective that will be. I hope for the best though!
