About Me
hey everyone,
my name is Jil, I'm 21 years old and I'm about to start my thrid year of studying English and History of Art at the University of Aberdeen, which is why I live in Scotland half of the year. The other six months are spent at home with my family in the central-north of Luxembourg.
In my free time I love to read, cook (and of course eat), take black and white pictures, go hiking, take a ride on my bicycle, watch movies and just meet up with friends and have a good time. I am a very spontaneous, flexible and out-going person.
I love to travel during the time I spend in Luxembourg, and as it is situated in the centre of Europe, it is very easy to get to different countries in a very small amount of time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm very interested in hosting and meeting people from around the globe, especially because I'm fascinated by languages and the culture behind them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In spring, I went to visit my uncle in London for my birthday. I was walking along the river in Camden Town when I suddenly saw a group of homeless people. They started a project where they wanted everyone passing their spot to draw something on a canvas they had in order to have a finished artwork at the end. As I was so fascinated by that idea and the passion they put in it, I started talking to them and ended up spending the rest of my day with them, talking, smoking and having some beer.
In summer 2018, me and 4 of my best friends went on a very spontaneous trip to Montpellier. Two days before we actually left, one of my friends came up with the idea and as eveyone was immediately euphoric about it, we booked an airbnb flat, packed our bags and went on one of the hottest, but also most beautiful trips in my life.
