Overview
About Me
It all started one sunny morning on a private terrace in Montreal. I had just gotten off of a red-eye flight from Vancouver to Montreal. The trip was pretty spontaneous — a friend had asked around if anyone wanted a month of magic in Montreal summer and my heart sang yes. Two weeks later I was there.
Through bleary-eyes, I looked around me. Old brick and wooden homes, staircases at odd angles, a private terrace off of my room full of plants, a bright sun, a spot to sit with my laptop....
In that moment I was bitten by the travel bug.
It has been quite the adventure since then, hopping from city to city, country to country. I currently love it and wouldn't give it up for anything. <3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Mostly I get long-term rooms and apartments for pay, but occasionally I will just need a night or two. Or occasionally I will have a short-term stay in a city that is just too expensive to rent something. It is at these times that I hope to turn to couchsurfing.
I also love meeting new people, sharing travel stories, and if you're interested in hearing about anything on my interests list, I can talk about any of them at length! ;) I also like to hear about your passions.
I don't have reviews on here yet as I only just started looking for couches, but I have stayed or hosted with many friends who are not on couchsurfing for years. I can hook you up with my references if you would like.
Interests
What can I say, I'm just your typical girl who makes websites, organizes and speaks at WordPress things, has done 4 major overhaul strategies over 3 years to minimize all my belongings, has for the last few years been striving to live a simple life (and now that I'm traveling it's even more so), is *obsessed* with productivity hacks, has recently discovered the joy of hiking, is spiritual, who meditates every day, who eats so healthy you'll be like—what—people DO that? (if there's time and if you're down for it I could make us a healthy meal) , who pulls out her small travel ukulele for music jams, and when I'm back home in Vancouver really loves nerdy costume parties and makes soaps, candles, and chocolates. You know, the usual. ^__^

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
I really love sci-fi, mind-bending realities, fantasy, that sort of thing.
My favourites of that ilk are two YA books by Lauren Miller: Parallel and Free To Fall.
Harry Potter is also pretty great. I am planning a Potter-themed two weeks this summer. :D
But if I were pressed for my all-time favourite books, that would be in the self-help genre:
Power of Now, Eckart Tolle
Conversations with God, Walsh
Any book by Sonia Choquette
I'm often found reading two books at a time, one fiction and one self-help. ;)
