About Me

I am a young explorer with a curious mind and a happy heart. I studied Psychology at a small school in Eastern Canada and did my honours thesis on masculinity (broadly). I did my masters research on working with young men to improve rates of unwanted teen pregnancy in the Dominican Republic and then lived in the country for a year and a half before having to leave during the start of the pandemic. I am terrible at singing but I love to do it when I'm all alone, I laugh a lot and I always have lots of questions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and I find that traveling is so much more meaningful when you can connect with others and have that personal link to a country, rather than just visiting tourist sites.

I've decided to start hosting as I have been the recipient of many great hosts and I would love to give back! Plus I am always happy to have people around to learn from and share with.

Interests

I love taking photos, doing calligraphy, graphic design, exploring new places, writing, and talking to everyone I meet. I love to eat good food and to share it with others. I like to watch the sunset and to explore abandoned places.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Memento, Catch Me If You Can, Magnolia, Into the Wild, and About Time.

I love to listen to all kinds of music, but especially R&B, reggaeton, folk music, and the occasional pop banger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the chance to zip line laying down in Costa Rica and experience a taste of what it might feel like to fly as I zipped over acres of tropical forest. That was incredible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and to bake, I am happy to swap stories of traveling and love to discuss concepts revolving around human nature, philosophy, psychology, social justice.
