About Me

Young and slightly silly professional (packaging engineer) from western New York who is working on figuring out her niche in the world. Looking to expand my view of the world through frequent travel (I need to get out of the office cube often to stay sane!) & meet people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet interesting locals while traveling, make connections with strangers, have a place to sleep that isn't an overpriced and lonely hotel.

Interests

People watching is a personal fave - doing it right now as I edit my profile! I enjoy swimming, walking (I am a speedy walker), kayaking, yoga, creating & crafting letters and cards for loved ones, overindulging in yummy food, day dreaming.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy lots of different kinds of music but frankly have such a hard time remembering names & titles!

Random movies I love: The Departed, Parent Trap, Finding Nemo, that's all I can think of at the moment (memory is not my strong suit as you may see).

I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to say I do but I'm a work in progress.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing might be a stretch considering what I've read in other profiles! But I have been on quite a few adventures in my time! I went to the Grand Canyon National Park, Utah, when I was five years old with my family only to realize once we returned home that I have horrible eyesight and needed glasses... until I saw a photo of me there, I thought the Grand Canyon was a small cave...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn a little German (although I know I'll likely butcher pronunciation), I can teach a little American Sign Language, I can share some chocolate? Trying to see what I can offer...

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences living in the United States, my love for connecting with others, my gratitude!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
