I am 49 years young never married but have a 19 year old daughter. I often travel with her. I like the idea of couch surfing to meet new people, save money, and see off the beaten paths of various cities throughout the world.

I am a nurse have been since I was 23. I have several nursing jobs- in a jail, in ICU, in acute psychiatry, and in a rehabilitation centre (all casual). I have been a nursing educator for 11 years.

I was initially very leery about Couchsurfing because I am looking to meet new people but was not sure what to expect. So to be clear I’m just looking to meet new people and gain acquaintances I’m not looking for hook-ups. I felt I needed to add this to my bio because my first encounter with this site was a host inquiring about my dating status and by his series of questions it became apparent his intentions.
I am a genuinely nice person who is an extrovert. I enjoy talking to others.
I am overweight and have about 60 pounds to lose ..... so my main focus right now is health, wellness and lifestyle changes. I’m 210 lb 5”6 and goal weight is 140 ...... 😫
