Hi I'm Jill, I'm a freelance web designer living and working on Regina SK Canada. I started freelancing a bit over a year ago and now it's my main squeeze. I love working with artists, artisans and very small businesses, you can check out my work on my website Fernxdesign.com.
Im originally from Paris France although I grew up in a few different countries so my English is pretty good :)
Aside from design I love to read books, lots of books, travel and meet new people, and learn new stuff (im a pluralsight addict)..
Im very outdoorsy, love trekking, canoeing and all those awesome activities I'm very happy to find a lot of here in Canada. My dream is to move next to the mountains sometime soon.
I do a lot of sports and very different stuff, I recently got into kickboxing but I'm also a yoga addict and did a lot of dancing growing up.
I love music and meditation, I play a bit of guitar and piano and I love singing.
I've been vegan for a year now and I have a lot of cool recipes to share with you if you're looking for a change in your diet or if you're already vegan yourself !
I'd love to meet up with some like minded folks to have some fun and share inspiring stuff on all those topics.

Interests

I love books, all books, fiction and non fiction.
Music just makes my day better every time, I love dancing to electro swing, and jazz.
Im into kickboxing and meditation which I've started to practice together thanks to an amazing teacher.
I've done yoga for a few years now and am musing with the idea of going through teacher training..
My favourite travels have involved hiking, remote places, books and often very harsh weather.

Music, Movies, and Books

Latest favourite book : The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I don't know what it was exactly but I missed the character deeply after having read that book.
Movies : im not a big movie fan, but I like watching all sorts of movies - especially comedy and action. Anything that's not horror really.
Music : I really like Parov Stellar, but also Bon Iver, the Black Keys, the Shins..... there's very little music I don't like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Annapurna trek in Nepal. It's a three week trek that goes over the world's highest pass. I did it a few years ago with an equally unaware and poor girlfriend: we left without proper equipment, without a guide, and we carried all our stuff on our backs. It was crazy, sometimes scary but the most difficult and most amazing thing I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to create your website or your logo, or anything graphic. A little bit about veganism and yoga as well. And of course French ) I recently started giving Astronomy classes as well (a bit randomly) so if you need help with Keplers laws I can give a hand ;)
I want to learn as much as I can about design and music and the arts in general !
Im interesting in pretty much everything that we can share.
