Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first time to sign up officially, I therefore apologize that there is limited information about me on the site. I've done the couchsurfing exchange before, but always unofficially.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always couchsurfed and hosted through personal contacts, acquaintances, and people I meet by chance - this is my first time to sign up officially.

Interests

When I push free time into my schedule, I most love getting to know people, hiking (in nature is preferred, but in cities can be great too), and reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many.... This year, my favorite books have been Zorro (by Allende), The Book Thief, and Nelson Mandela's autobiography.

Movies are even more scattered (and more rare). My favorites will always the The Lion King and Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For as calm as I generally am, I've had a surprising amount of near-life (or near-death) experiences.
I think my favorite was running faster than I could run, in flip-flops, without my luggage, onto the last car of a fast moving train in India - I fell, but was saved by a man who pulled me in the train and yelled at me not to take risks.

I suppose it's a certain kind of amazing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Thailand, Uganda, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, United States
