Overview
About Me
I am a Colorado teacher taking a break in San Diego, helping my sister and her family. I am an open book, I love life and good food and cooking and writing. I am from a small farm town in Colorado, I love being outdoors, and I love meeting new people. I’m easy going and enjoy good philosophical conversations and talking about big ideas. I love adventure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m in La Mesa helping out my sister for a while, and living with her family. Sharing a room and a bed....Sometimes I just want my own space, my own room to sleep in away from their noise and pets. I am good with kids, animals, crafts, cooking, gardening, pretty much anything. I love to read and write and paint and visit with people. I live my life with kindness and an open mind. I try to reduce waste and stay grounded in nature.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m super laid back about music. I can take it or leave it. I have enough going on in my mind to keep me occupied. I love movies of all genres and I read everything I can get my hands on. I am a literature teacher, so I love the classics, I love contemporary stuff, I love historical fiction, nonfiction, self-help. All of it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to Brazil on my own for two years to teach and travel. I held a Goliath bird-eater in the Amazon forest.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tutor anyone in English, help kids with homework, especially reading and writing. I want to learn as much as I can wherever I go. I certainly always have something to learn. I will share in conversations, share cooking tips, lifestyle tips.....I just want to have peaceful interactions between all people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook for people, (I call myself a vegetarian who eats meat because I can make some great tasting veggies but I grew up on a beef farm so I’m a die-hard steak eater also). I can walk their dogs, feed pets, tend the garden, share travel tips for Brazil! Just ask if there’s something you need.
