About Me

ABOUT ME

***Please send a formal request if you're looking to surf! It helps me keep my calendar straight 😉 When I travel, I take time to get to know my potential hosts and personalize every request I send, and I really appreciate when potential surfers match that energy back to me ✨

That said, I'll be thrilled to meet, and even host, you! To get us started, tell me something important to know or interesting about yourself and/or your trip in your request. Non-personalized requests and/or requests sent via messages (unless there are unique circumstances which dictate messaging first) will likely not be accepted, so bear that in mind. THANK YOU ALL, and big love, in advance 💖***

~~~~~~~
Confession: This is a very old profile below 😂 I’ll adjust it more one of these days, but for now, we’ll just have to meet and share more in-person 😊
I have a unique story, and I am excited to share it with you ✨
I once named myself primarily as a student of conflict resolution, but these days, I devote most of my life and interest to building and expanding my own energy healing clinic and light service. As a result, I am passionate about spiritual journeying (my own and others’), newness, and the reception, consecration, and celebration of potent adventures.
I pride myself on my ability to see and reflect back some of the deepest and most precious aspects of a person’s soul light, which can make the connections I create in my life both intense and intimate, and always very rich 🌸 This also makes me quite flexible and accepting when it comes to people, matters of the heart, and the circumstances that float around in many many situations.
Besides that, I remain full of so much love, gratitude, appreciation, and awe for the beauty that I have ALWAYS seen and received through CS. There are so many precious people who are part of this amazing community, and that blows me away every time. I'm looking forward to meeting and sharing light with more of you beautiful souls around this incredible world!
(Old old old ⬇️)
PHILOSOPHY
I genuinely believe in living in the moment, perhaps more so than others who may say similarly. There is no time that we know of other than this time right here and through various mindful practices, I have come to realize that the beauty and successes we always seem to be running after stay right here with us all along.
I believe in the power of will, in the power of belief, because I know I am the maker of my world and I also know that belief leads to hope, which leads to action, which leads to the opportunity for success. I haven't seen proof to tell me otherwise so far.
I believe in the value of a well-rounded worldview and in multiplicity with whatever one decides to pursue. In order to serve the world, I cannot imagine not forming my decisions and understandings on a diverse assortment of perspectives and opinions. In the conflict resolution field, it is one of the more essential qualifications for any participants, but I have taken this characteristic and deemed it important enough to always maintain in my own life, no matter where I may end up.
Finally, above all other things, I believe in love. It is what keeps me going through the thick and thin, and it is, in my opinion, one of the greatest beauties we can ever hold. People sometimes think me foolish for being such a romantic, but then again, I think I've been doing alright in the meantime. After all, there are worse motivators in this world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
(For those that might have already seen me out and about on CS in the past, or those new, I have actually been involved in couchsurfing since April 2014. Had to make a new profile due to some screw ups with the system...)
When I began with CS, I was mostly a surfer (and thank you to my wonderful hosts/people who have gotten back to me!!), but I finally started hosting people in my super small and cosy studio in Tel Aviv when I finally had the chance to do so :)
Now, in this post-initial-pandemic-scare world, I’ve upgraded my living situation and am eager to start meeting and hosting beautiful souls again!
I wrote this years ago but it’s still so true: I'm thrilled about it! I LOVE having discovered that each side of the CS coin is so different, and so excellent in totally different ways! CS has always brought me some of my richest life experiences, no matter what 😊
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had increasingly more positive couchsurfing experience overall, and for those experiences I have had, the hosts and the company I also met as a result were wonderful! There are no better people I probably could have met and even though we only knew each other from periods of two to four days, I know I'll have these friends for a lifetime.
Just as a fond memory, I remember my first night at Omer's apartment in Istanbul. The three of us traveling together were so tired, and we had just met two amazing people from France who were also staying with him, but despite all of our ragged conditions, Omer started a nargile and we all sat around this thing smoking and talking and even watching Omer play some excellent music. I know every couchsurfing experience will certainly not be as wonderful, but this is what I'll think of until I'm proven otherwise :) There may be some less-than-stellar people in this world, but there are also plenty of those that are nothing but fantastic :)
Interests
I have a diverse range of interests, but in general, I am extremely adaptable and am capable of having fun just about no matter what! Seriously, laughter is the best medicine and why not spend life soaking in all the happiness you can get? But to be more specific, I love a good place to dance (dancing is a passion of mine ;)) and I can just as easily have a ton of fun spending no money at all with the company of others. Wherever I go and may find myself, I'm interested in exploring the lesser-considered treasures of the place and also want a taste of any nightlife that may be around! If you can take me to your favorite places for taking pictures, that's definitely a plus, as I dabble a bit with photography. I am a poet, a hippie, and an all around positive person, and I genuinely hope to expand my worldviews with each new place I may find myself exploring :)
Some more of my passion: travelling (of course!), cooking, politics (especially Middle Eastern!), nature, Buddhist philosophy/teachings, mindful living, animals, social justice, languages, eating ( the more unusual and complex, the better!), films and cinematography :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to say that sitting (or maybe flying!) on top of an all-terrain truck in Nicaragua as it drove around the side of Volcán Mombacho on a dusty village road is one of the most profound memories I have, especially because I can't remember feeling so grounded and positive in too many other moments <3 I can only say I have been lucky enough to get glimpses of my essential self a handful of times in my life so far.
