About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to commune with the wind, the sand and the sea

ABOUT ME

creative, hardworking, happy person with a need to see new places and experience an alternative lifestyle. I'm tired of the daily grind we so often find ourselves in in the U.S. I think we all work too hard outside the home, outside ourselves. I am interested in exploring more sustainable ways of 'making a living'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the moment, my husband Adam and our dog Arlo are on the road, traveling across the country and back to Oregon. We're in between homes as we decide where and how we want to live, so we're visiting several sustainable living sites, permaculture learning centers and small scale farms. We hope to purchase or lease a small and perfect plot of land along the coastal range in Oregon sometime within the year. So I'm currently just a surfer. When I have a home with an extra space for a surfer, I will most definitely host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have several awesome friends who surf couches and travel happily all over the world through this site. I may be new, but I come highly recommended from all my past roommates and friends.

Interests

painting, drawing, playing ukelele, singing my heart out, laughing, snorkeling, swimming, visiting hot springs, work-trading in beautiful places, sharing stories and dreams, discovering something new, meditating, practicing yoga, riding bicycles and laying in the sand...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently kayaked through the Bioluminescent Bay at Vieques Island, Puerto Rico and witnessed swirling stars with every stroke through the water.

Lago de Atitlan in Guatemala is an epic, magical place. Spent the better part of three weeks just soaking up the mystery of the place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

experiences from the road, ideas about sustainable living, laughs
