Overview
About Me
Recently moved back to Chicago from Munich, Germany. Looking to continue meeting diverse and bizarre people from abroad while not myself abroad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have SERIOUSLY neglected this site and my account. It's high time I get to putting some energy into this. While I cannot house anyone in Chicago, I can provide excellent hosting and an even excellenter drinking buddy. Let's talk about stereotypes and traveling and how destructive the U.S. debate is. Let's talk about makeup palettes and dating and our favorite (and not so favorite) countries and cities. When all that gets old we can eat deep dish pizza and loosely talk about our future goals and lofty dreams until someone gets all choked up or an Über home.
And when all that fails uh....... the weather? Game of Thrones? Food?
Interests
Number one hobby is writing, with meeting new people as a close second. I'll write anything from poetry to essays to contracted (terrible) romance novellas or articles. I have a blog too at: www.whinespectator.wordpress.com if you really want to get to know me.
I love learning new things which is why I'm on here. I want to extend my world view outside the U.S. while I'm here.

Music, Movies, and Books
Do any of us really care about these things?
The 1975, Sylvia Plath, Oscar Wilde, Bastille, MØ, Tom Odell, Molière.
Wes Anderson does nice things.
Color me hipster.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wrote a play in 4 months and made 200 people pay money to see it. Their mistake.
I once had backstage passes to see The 1975 and DIDN'T throw up.
I took a 19-year-old Norfolkian to a German ER when he broke his face open on a bar floor.
I wrote three things instead of one in the "One Amazing Thing I've Done" section.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a native English speaker with a degree in English Lit and a semi-professional writer. So if you want to work on your English skills I'd love to brush up on my German in tandem. Or like just English is fine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring sarcasm, booze, and coffee to the literal table any time.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, United States
