About Me

Well...my name is Jillian. I'm 26 years young with a birthday coming up in March. I'm from small town Indiana where lots of people go to college, move back home, get married, and have kids. Me, I guess I wanted to be a little different. I moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where I began my nursing career in the Surgical ICU at Indiana University Hospital. There is where I made my new home, traveling back to home to see my family whenever I could. I am one of 4 kids; however I'm the only one from my mom and dad. Everyone else is half and step. My older step sister has 3 amazing boys that I get the honor to be an aunt to and then I have a younger half brother and sister who both live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up, I continuously played sports and is probably why I'm still competitive to this day. I enjoyed/played volleyball, basketball, and tennis.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined CS in order to meet new people in the area that I will be traveling to and to hope to find someone who knows someone that's renting out a bedroom of their home..or even apartments that come furnished and offer 3 month leases!! I decided to switch up my career while I had the opportunity and embark in what's called Travel Nursing. I work through an agency and sign contracts at different hospitals for usually 13 weeks at a time. Right now, I'm about to start my second assignment so I'm fairly new..but have loved the experiences that I've had this far!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy live music of any kind, but when I lived in Indianapolis I would buy the mega ticket every year, which consisted of roughly 10-12 country concerts throughout the summertime. They were always a great time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned that the hardest part of growing up...is letting go of what you're used to and moving on with something that you're not.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share funny stories, good times with my kitty - Jack, Indiana cuisine, sports, and much more!
