ABOUT ME

I'm Jilli Mac - chef, gardener, adventurer! I just received my masters degree in public nutrition and am off to travel the world. One day, I want to change the world and allow children the chance to connect with their food and the land it comes from in order to live healthy lives. I'm taking a hiatus in that quest to explore South America with my best friend! I dig adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

Shit happens, so look at the bright side of life. You only live once. Let's not be consumed by our material possessions and try to experience as much as we can to the fullest. Don't let life pass you by!

I meet couchsurfers everywhere! I've only hosted a few, but I prefer couch surfing when traveling to get the real feel of a culture.

From Paris to the Blue Mountains in Jamaica to Breckenridge Colorado, I've always had positive experiences with diverse people across the world!

Interests

Cooking and spreading my passion of cooking by teaching and feeding others! The great outdoors and Mother Nature inspire and nourish my soul. Hiking, backpacking, all things exploration! I also enjoy gardening, plants, herbs, and soil. Having fun means getting dirty. I also enjoy the game of rugby, craft beers, and bluegrass music.

I've been into bluegrass, folk music, the blues, and good ole jam bands recently. But I can dance to anything!

I really enjoy dystopian novels like Oyrx & Crake by Margaret Atwood, Brave New World, 1984, On the Beach and the list continues

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I packed my life and moved across the country from Virginia to Colorado with my Mom to help. When you grow up in a black hole of a city, this is a big deal! Best decision of my life, now I'm thriving.
