About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help people access their creativity.
ABOUT ME
Our house and studio have people coming and going, working on their projects: art, movies, puppets, signs for a demonstration, whatever. My favorite times are when artists, social activists and scientists are sharing their thinking over a meal we have all made together.
PHILOSOPHY
That learning begins with a question in the life of the learner (which is why I homeschooled three children); that there is no scarcity of ideas, creativity, or resources but there is failure of imagination that leads to inequities; that creativity is like an underground river you tap into with your curiosity and work; that in the best of all possible worlds work and play are one.

Teach, Learn, Share
Good on ya' for doing couchsurfing and seeing it a life learning experience. I've been involved with creating schools since I left home at 16 to go to New Experimental College in Denmark. One experiment we tried there was charging the teachers more tuition because you learn the most by teaching. Everyone can learn, everyone can teach. I love Tech Shops, Maker Fairs, Burning Man, DIY of any kind - I am fascinated with gift cultures. Learn one, do one, teach one.
