About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying the journey teaching high school kids about climate change in HTown, TX while traveling with my fiance every chance we get. We are currently planning our wedding which will be during the summer of 2020, and consist of us starting on opposite ends of the Appalachian Trail and hiking to the middle where we will get hitched. After that, we will take off on an around the world trip for 9 months - indefinitely, and/or then find a teaching gig abroad at an international school.
ABOUT ME
Friendly, outgoing, and easygoing.
Grew up in small town Iowa. Left the USA for the first time in 2011, and have had the travel bug since.
Cody and I are very liberal and easygoing. Please come and stay with us if you are in the same boat! We need more people like you in our lives :)
PHILOSOPHY
I'd much rather spend my money on experiences than things.
The awesome people we get a chance to meet in this short blip of time that we exist on this planet are the best experiences we can ask for.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love to meet new people, and we both love this concept of sharing our home and experiences with others.
Couchsurfing is hands down the most amazing thing I have had the opportunity of experiencing. We have felt so many good vibes and so much generosity during our stays as Couchsurfers, and hope that we can pay it forward to others as hosts.
We're happy to host awesome peeps, although right now our house is a bit full (sister has been couchsurfing on our couch for 3+ months now).
Interests
I love to travel and meet new people. Favorite hobbies/interests are hiking, sailing, teaching, traveling and all things sciencey. Love nerding out with my fiance about geology, biology, earth history, evolution, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to teach anyone anything they need about science or American culture. Also happy to teach English to anyone having it as a second language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
