Experiencing life that is not controlled and moulded by man, by discontecting ourselves from the "machine" which runs our lives. Learning, growing, and conecting with all the life that happens around us.

ABOUT ME

We are passionate stewards of the earth, we try our hardest not to harm the planet in fact we wish to improve and live in tune with the earth. We love meeting new people, we encourage people to move about and have cultural experiences to open their minds to new ideas for better living. We work now on an organic farm in Pittsboro, NC where we live in the woods squating on unused land and have a garden of our own, and we sell some at the farmers market. We love going to farmers markets and meeting the people who make and/or produce the food we purchase. I am trilingual and I hope to be quadralingual within a year or too. We are starting a rode trip on bike with our dog from Pittsboro, NC to Albuquerque, NM. Along the way hope to meet friendly faces and find comfy couches or floors. We like to share good healthy food and drink with people. We strongly agree that love will set you free and cure you, so give love.

PHILOSOPHY

Life happens. Everything happens for a reason and everything is connected. As human beings we should not forget that the rolls of all other living things are no less important than ours. There are powers that are greater than this world and as long as we are trying to do good, things will fall into place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All of our possible farm interns who come for interviews stay on our couches. Also friends, family, and an occasional stranger stay at our house. We love meeting new people and encourage other people to open their doors too.

Interests

Adah- I love to travel and immerse myself completely in a new world, and learn the things that people of other countries have been doing for centuries. I am also very interested in alternative ways of living, medicinal plants, animals and arts and crafts. Activism is something that has been inspiring me more lately. Making change happen. If you don't agree with something, try and change it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-reggae, bluegrass, folk, hip-hop,we like to make our own music, although we are not very good at it!
Movies- don't see many as we don't have electricity at home

Adah- I lived in India for 3 years.
Jack- I turned my life from city consumer to very low impact food grower and lover

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about foraging plants for food and medicine. I can teach the basics for preparing South Indian food. I love crafting things with what ever material is available. We both could help you plan out a permaculture style garden for your back yard, or give you tips on what you already got going. Jack knows french and spanish. I also know how to sew all types of clothing with a sewing machine and by hand. Jack is also a automobile machanic.
