I am a retired Pediatric nurse who worked at the local hospital for 29 years and love living in the Pacific Northwest West for all the recreation activities I partake. I travel locally a lot to go skiing, whitewater kayaking, biking and back packing. I eat healthy, mostly vegetarian, and enjoy cooking. I am a big environmentalist and try and tread lightly on the planet when I am traveling using public transportation or bike when I can. I live 3 houses away from a mountain biking/wooded area.

I am young at heart, pretty open minded and enjoy going to live music, dancing or to a pub for a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled on a shoe string budget in my twenties and had many people put me up for the night when I was hitch hiking so want to give back and encourage folks to travel. Travel is the best education you can get.

I hitch hiked across the continents of Canada and Australia in my twenties and much of Western Europe and all over the UK where I am originally from.
