Overview
About Me
I'm a personable, easy going guy. Love to travel, especially for beach vacations as well as active ones (hiking, biking). I also enjoy excellent food (am a foodie), the theater (plays and musicals), running, politics, and piano.
I grew up in Connecticut but moved to California for university and later living in San Francisco for several years. I then returned to the East coast to Boston for graduate studies before moving to New York City where I took on a job in publishing. Later I got involved in the Internet and NY Tech scene. I became an entrepreneur and have started a few companies.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Is an interesting way to meet people from all around the world. While I have not stayed at anyone's place I have begun to make my apartment available in New York as a nice way to occasional meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music -- love classical in the morning. Then more pop or top songs in the afternoon/evening. Also love jazz.
Movies -- love dramas, comedy, and action movies. Funny old comedy saw recently on a plane was "Four Weddings and a Funeral.".. one of my favorites. Also, the Bourne Identity (series of movies). Also, newer: Jackie.
Books: Til the End of Time; The Innovators.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After stumbling upon it next to a house, convinced an owner of a helicopter on the island of Milos to fly me and my friend over to Mykonos. Landed on a Mykonos beach, with crowds approaching to see who was there.
