About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world

ABOUT ME

I'm very easy-going. I love playing and listening to music, sitting on the beach and going for a beer. To be fair I like most things.

PHILOSOPHY

You'll be dead in 100 years, do whatever you want (as long as you don't upset anybody else)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm on Couchsurfing because I like to meet new people and cause trouble.

Interests

Music, travelling, languages, football, swimming in the sea. I am a massive fan of barbecues and going on road trips. I also like fishing trips with good friends, beer and good music. I've got loads of stories about dumb things that happened after too many beers and times I nearly died.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like horror films and zombie films... and I love to read anything really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't limit it to one! Sailed on the world's largest sailing yacht, played football against a team of billionaires, ridden a camel through the desert, swam with turtles, sharks, octopus in the Maldives, quadbiked through the forests in Moscow, had my face reconstructed in a Russian hospital, trekked through the jungle in central Java, grown a beard, founded a project that trained eye doctors and funded operations for hundreds of blind people in Timor, Indonesia. Interviewed ex-prostitutes with AIDS in Bali for a documentary, lost a small fortune on the stock market, taken a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night with only my passport and got on the first flight on the board, danced on a boat going down the Nile... my life is a bit of a rollercoaster!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty handy with languages! Can do my best to help, especially with Russian. I also know some good drinking songs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My home and my good nature! And beer. Lots of beer.

Am afraid to say that if you've got no references, an empty profile, 1 photo and you're requesting to stay for a week it's gonna be a 'no'! Also- people who obviously never share their couch, haven't even bothered to read the profile and want to couchsurf just to save money while on a visa run or going to a gig- it's gonna be a 'no' with no explanation (well, the explanation is here). Couchsurfing is about travelling, sharing and giving, not just getting a free place to stay. Sorry for the rant but have to reject about 10 of these every week.
