We've been married for twenty-five wonderful years and life just keeps getting better. We're perhaps the stereotypical Canadians: quiet, polite and reserved, but both of us have a hidden adventurous spirit. We enjoy both nature and culture, are inquisitive and others see us as a bit ecofreakish.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We enjoy meeting other couchsurfers in our travels. For us, travelling is not just about checking off a list of tourist sites. We like to experience the local culture by interacting with people, eating good food and soaking in the atmosphere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted a number of couchsurfers in our home and continue to look forward to meeting more interesting people.

Jen is a classical musician who also enjoys jazz music. Jim listens to Jen practice. We both like to read books that are either thought-provoking or funny. We don't watch many movies, but have a strange fondness for doom-and-gloom documentaries. We gave the TV away years ago and don't miss it at all.

We've been swimming in all four of the world's oceans. Well OK, the Arctic Ocean was more of a mad dash than a swim, but there was full immersion!
