Overview
About Me
Having taken early retirement, I've moved from Leeds, UK to Brittany, where I have a lovely large wooden home in the countryside.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm happy to offer a bed for a night or two, and hopefully will get round to making a few more trips myself one of these days.
Interests
I love to travel, and have been to Egypt, Reunion/Mauritius, Thailand/Vietnam/Cambodia, Estonia/Latvia, and Morocco, in the last 5 years.
I also love to cook, and try out dishes from some of the places I have been to.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy watching "box set" series (Netflix, HBO), and am an avid listener to BBC Radio 4 and several US podcasts (Radiolab, This American Life).
I enjoy listening to music, but don't play an instrument, unfortunately. My tastes are varied.
I read (Crime, non-fiction, all sorts, really) and keep abreast of current affairs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently did a Stand-up comedy course, culminating in a couple of shows. I would love to continue with this, and try to perform in French, but not sure there's really a stand-up scene here.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think that curiosity is one of the greatest human qualities, and I'm always interesting in learning new things, and understanding how the world works, on many different levels.
I loved teaching,, both French and English, and still enjoy helping people improve their communication skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good chat, either in English or French.
Interesting food (usually very spicy!)
I love to tell stories, and to listen to the stories of others too.
