About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding that half-horned unicorn that stole my bike basket full of biscuits

ABOUT ME

I dig life; just happy to be here. Trying to experience as much of this pale blue dot as I can before I make my grand exit; if I'm lucky my exit will be half as cool as Mr. Huxley's.

I consider myself a student of the world - I just can't seem to get enough of this place. I love to travel about, read about, laugh about, talk about, wo(A)nder about it.

I'm in love with a girl named Alisha.

And I don't wear white socks, ever.

PHILOSOPHY

When you speak the truth you never have to watch your mouth.

I think reason, logic, and empiricism are the final arbiters of truth. Thus I am no fan of arbitrary authority, power, and control.

Freedom is the natural state of humanity; the closer we get to this ideal, the healthier and happier our world can become.

I value Walt's wisdom ~ "Resist much, Obey little."

Eat, drink, & be merry.

Questions to ponder: Do you believe violence is a moral or effective tool for solving social problems? Do you think a non-violent solution - even if it is "less efficient" - is always preferable to putting a gun in someone's face or throwing them in a cage? Do the ends justify the means? Now look around at the world we live in and at the institutions we have built up around us. Where do you fit in?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found true love.

Random proud life achievement: I did a stint in the Air Force after high school. When I left my Master Sergeant told the friends I left behind that he was glad to be rid of me because I was a "FESTERING SUBVERSIVE." Warmed my heart...a personal badge of honor.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can open a beer bottle with my wedding ring, which is a pretty useful skill - you could say I'm an amateur survivalist.

I'm pretty handy (enough to keep people paying me to do it!) with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - which is a fancy way of saying I can makes maps on the comprooter.

I am also a big nerd and constantly consume information and love to exchange ideas. I am interested in everything from economics to anarchism, to urban form & design, spontaneous order & emergence, technology, and my personal favorite....sticking it to THE MAN.
