Overview
About Me
I was lucky to do a lot of traveling during my 20s. I teach full time now in Mesa, Az. I have lived in Tempe, Az the last two years. I will be moving to New Jersey in August 2016.
Teaching takes all my time and energy. I'm not happy with the results I'm getting, but I am still a first year teacher and I work at an alternative school. I want to produce social change. If I cannot get more efficient, I might have to look for other ways to change the world.
I want to write more. I want to read more.
Exercise was a huge part of my life before I started teaching. I just got back together with exercising most days; and it has done wonders for my stress.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to host, but I rent a room from a gentleman's home.
I hosted when I lived in Africa. But it was so rural only three people visited besides a few Peace Corps friends.
I did a little couch surfing in Europe (Summer 2009) and it was great. But hard to find couches on the go. The groups were great for city info and meeting people.
My COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES have been Awesome! Everyone I have meet as been very kind and fun to hang out with.
I read a couple forums on here sometimes. I enjoy this community. I was shampoo free for a long time because of CSing.

Teach, Learn, Share
I was an exercise and sport science major. I have a lot of knowledge about health, nutrition, and fitness, especially running.
I know a little bit about a lot of things in general. I teach English language arts; I love science and philosophy. I'm getting more into history and politics.
I want to learn more about life, teaching, science, how to surf, literature, and writing.
