ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Jin and I am Canadian that can be a little reserved at the beginning but I open up quickly and can be quite enjoyable. Humor is my language of choice and I would love to meet people on the same level.
I do get quite curious about people as I do believe there is something unique everyone has experienced that just could not be imitated, so be prepared to chat away:)
Now on a lighter note, when it comes to nightlife and the music its a totally different story! Nothing makes me happier than a night out and some good stories to go with it.
PHILOSOPHY
"'I'm bored' is a useless thing to say. I mean, you live in a great, big, vast world that you've seen none percent of. Even the inside of your own mind is endless; it goes on forever, inwardly, do you understand? The fact that you're alive is amazing, so you don't get to say'I'm bored.'" Louis C.K.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a fantastic experience in NYC with two hosts back in 2013 and I have been recommending couchsurfing to like minded travellers ever since!
Interests
A lot of things. Seriously.
Getting information from the internet is like drinking water out of a fire hydrant and there is so much I've been exposed to that I'm fascinated by. Lately I have been learning lots about photography and filming.
I have become increasingly active in the last few years spending most of my time outdoors and in the gym but i have to be honest... I'm a geek at heart at the same time, I love meeting people and experiences and tales that have shaped them. If you're willing to listen, I'll share stories about myself as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
About 3 years ago my family went through a rather devastating bankruptcy where we were left homeless. I juggled 2-3 jobs for a year and with help from family and friends, made it through the storm and now, I am just about to start my last year of Engineering Tech major, our family operates a sushi kiosk at a farmer's market, and I am healthier than ever!
Its kind of funny though, because its when we lost everything that we began to pursue our true interests!
Teach, Learn, Share
I met Aurelie on my trip to NYC, and oh boy did I ever enjoy the crash course in table etiquette! One afternoon, while waiting for our meal I realized I was absolutely famished! When the bread arrived, I proceeded to rip up the bread with my bare hands and ate like a savage (of course)! The look of horror in my companion's face was absolutely priceless. She was absolute doll and will always have a place in my heart because of that:)
