About Me

Hi this is Jimi, who was dopted by this world and raised as a world citizen. Which I mean I have various interests in different cultures. A new face since I joined Cs in 2026. I knew Couchsurfing since I was a kid, and looks like I missed the best time of this platform…but I saw so much nice people on it, (even this world are facing a chaos, the most complicated time nowadays) so just keeping moving and positive:)
Hard to identify myself cuz everyone could find different aspects of me.
I have been studied fine art for 7 years in Japan•Tokyo (BA+MA) . It’s my gap year so I mostly travel recently .About the art, currently I do some research on traces/immigration/(post)colonization etc. via different narratives by using various materials. My life style somehow synchronized with my research methodology: widely but not deeply, just like nomads. So, in other words, perhaps I am destined to live a nomadic life. I hope Couchsurfing could lead me to more people with different experiences sharing different backgrounds.

I enjoy reading, writing, watching cinemas, baking and researching various recipes in my daily life. Recently have a new interest in Geocaching. During my travels, I often love to exploring new places, local culture and folklores. I am passionate about to do something could interact with more people during my journey like volunteering or farming. I consider learning new techniques and languages as my life project. I am also super fond of outdoors like trekking!
Hope to make new friends and memories during my journey.

我会中文/日本語大丈夫です/English ok

✅queer friendly

things to aware:

mostly friendly but
not very friendly to chauvinists & misogynists:))
not a party/club person most of the time

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

sometimes its better to not to stay at a hotel .
And you can make friends with different people during the journey. This is the most attractive part of a journey. If the prejudice couldn’t be erased all the time let’s just get to know each other little by little.
