【updates】Permanent head Damage---PhD!
----------------------------------------------------------------
What up CSers!
Who says that PhD has to be nerds like those in TBBT? I love meeting new ppl and having fun! Moving from a populated city in China to a small town with only 40K population in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania is a huge transition for me! Graduate life is kinda repetitive and busy, but I am trying my best to keep a BALANCE between personal life and academics.
I love traveling to different places and interacting with different people. I always get inspiration from other's life stories.
State College is literally in the middle of nowhere. So if you find here and would like to see the beauty of this small town, I am more than happy to show you around. Meeting travelers here is like a cup of fresh juice to my life!
***NOTE*** IMPORTANT*** !!! If you have a blank profile and your ONLY purpose is to seek a free place to stay, please don't bother sending your request.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was living in Stockholm, a Taiwanese girl couch surfed at my place. It was so much fun and then I decided to join this amazing network. My first surfing experience was in NYC, USA. I bumped into a girl on my flight from Beijing to New York. We talked a lot on the flight and felt that we were old acquaintance to each other so that I stayed at her place for one more night before I set off to Pennsylvania. I am definitely looking forward to more hosting and surfing experience!
Interests
Traveling----which I believe is a common like among CSers! Well, covering 3/7 continents in the world could not satisfy me at all! A backpacking to South America is something that I've always wanted to do in recent years. Watching animal migration in Africa is also on my bucket list!
Cooking & Food---for this, I will proudly say that I live up to the Chinese stereotype. I am totally a foodie and cook well among my peers. Pot luck is one of my favorite things while living abroad. Among all the countries I've visited, Japan and Czech Republic are no doubt the two best countries at food. Needless to say, Chinese food has never wavered on the top!
Piano---I am an amateur but I've played Piano for years, mostly for classical piano music. A digital piano is the first thing I bought in the US as it is indispensable in my life! It would be a big bonus if you could teach me playing Impromptu by Chopin!
