ABOUT ME
All about me? Hmmm, that´s hard to say. Well, for instance I play guitar at a Munich jazzband (www.jazz-in-muenchen.de). We are not unbelievable good, but at least we try to make people laugh. As I obtained a law degree, I give voluntary legal advice to refugees and teach German to them - at least I try to, even tough German is pretty complicated. I earn my money as a assistant lecturer at University; besides that I am working on my Ph.d in philosphy, topic: "The rights of strangers".
I am not the kind of person, that makes party all the time, sometimes I prefer just to listen and observe. I am interested in meeting new people, having the possibility to experience foreign cities through the eyes of people who live there.
PHILOSOPHY
Actually, apart from law I also studied philosophy at university and received a proper degree. So I know a few things about other persons' philosophy. And my own personal philosophy? Hmm, I love good food and sleeping!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, there is a small room in our flat. Whoever wants to, can live there. I think, the CS-Project proofs, that the economists theory about the selfish homo economicus is wrong: People can be nice and friendly without being payed for it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It was ok, could have been worse. Didn`t get killed. Once I had to sleep without fresh linen, so I had to give a negative reference and inform the couchsurfing security agency.
Allright, I have to add this note: I am acutally starting to dislike Couchsurfing since I fell that it is getting more and more commercial. And that there are so many people (mainly male guys) that see CS as a datingwebsite. I feel like a grandpa, but when I started with couchsurfing in the good old times... Anyhow, there a still some nice Couchsurfer, but its getting harder to find them.
Interests
I like reading a lot, especially the older books from famous German/Autrian writers (Thomas Mann, Robert Musil, Heinrich Böll). Apart from that I do a lot of Acroyoga and gardening. When my flat-mate is out or I am showering, I try to sing. I am - what else? - an open minded person, open to new people, strange tasting food, interesting conversations and - if possible - some shared music sessions. I love hiking in the nearby mountains, I easyly forget things, yet I can always remember a hiking-trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like German books and I used to read most of the famous German philosophers as well. To be honest, I don´t know much about movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I experienced the parliamentary elections in Cameroon as a journalist. Now I can distinguish a Democracy from a not-Democracy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I TEACH at university; I try to LEARN not to eat too quickly; I SHARE most of the time with myself. Is this an approbriate answer?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Acroyoga, guitar lessons, deep insights in the German soul...
