I'm down to earth, positive and open-minded, and love to learn new things and share ideas with people. I have a passion for the outdoors, and love hiking and being in the mountains, although I'm just as happy sharing laughter and some drinks in a bar or club, visiting cultural sites, or good conversation!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, to really get a sense of a place, the people are the most important thing. I love new experiences, and meeting people who make me look at things in a different way. I love to meet new people and learn about where they come from, themselves and their way of life. I'm looking forward to making lots of new friends from around the world!

Interests

I really enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places, meeting interesting new people... generally being curious and inqusitive and trying to experience as much as possible! I am quite passionate about hiking, I think you get a much deeper impression of the place you are visiting if you do it slowly by foot. I'm just as happy exploring historic old cities or cultural sites, even better if you can experience it with the inside local perspective from someone who lives in that place! I enjoy photography, playing and listening to music, to play and watch football and tennis, and to go swimming...in lakes and rivers when possible (and warm enough!!). Good conversation and getting to know people. Being a sommelier by profession I enjoy a good drink, and have a big interest in wines, artisinal beers, and whisky... especially in good company!

My favourite genres would be reggae, rock, jazz, blues, latin and various world musics... quite eclectic but I'm more into the music itself rather than the scene or lifestyle that goes along with it
