ABOUT ME
Most people think I'm shy and then they are pleasantly surprised at my jokes and my easy-going personality. I'm low-maintenance and strive to see the good side of everything. I have traveled to many places on film projects and always prefer to experience how people live day to day rather than chase the top tourist attractions. I believe that beneath our facades, we are one. Love is inside all of us and that's how I convince myself to connect in the most honest way.
Interests
I like ethnic cultures including language, music, and especially cuisine tradition. In our super-intensive information age, I am looking to enjoy the simple things in life. Travel to foreign places put me back to my deepest roots. I always feel love and gratitude despite wars and inequality everywhere.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am currently addicted to Paul Theroux's travel writings. I recently discovered writings of a Chan Buddhist scholar, Master Sheng Yen. I'm a big fan of films of Pier Paolo Pasolini. I love all of Kenji Mizoguchi's films. I dream of returning to Naples to make a documentary. One day I want to visit Lamalera and film the local people hunting whales.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a human-made environmental disaster in East Java, the mud-volcano of Sidoarjo. The first time I visited the Uffizi Galery in Florence, I wanted to cry for all the beauty my eyes couldn't absorb. Last year I met my half-sister in China for the first time. Mys sister told me about my grandmother I never met. I once witnessed a person channeling a spirit in order to ask for the lottery number. I want to make that into a documentary.
