About Me

I recently joined couchsurfing in preparation for my upcoming travels in 2016 when I will be taking a tour of the the United States via my reliable car. My #1 favorite thing is to make others laugh, smile, or generally taking everyone's mood up a few notches. Energy is contagious. I am single, if that matters I don't know, I'm a guitar player and will play any song you want, almost. I have (unfortunately) lived in South Florida, United States, my whole life. Read the next section as to why.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never been much of a traveler - ever. And, not because I haven't wanted to. As far back as I can remember, I have felt like I don't belong in South Florida. But, I made the best of it - I have had many great jobs here, a great dating life here, but the world is too small to stay put here much longer! As a kid, I went on 1 vacation, it was just with my Dad and my Brother to the Bahamas, we took a cruise. I have never flown on an airplane, nor have I seen snow. As an adult my vacations have consisted of all but one in-state vacations. I have taken a road-trip once leaving the state, going to Georgia and Tennessee with my then girlfriend. But if I love traveling how come I've only been on limited vacation? I have always had a job, every single winter I can recall since I was 16, other things that have prevented me from traveling is 1) I don't fly airplanes, as stated above. 2) Something was always holding me here, a job, college, a girlfriend, etc. 3) I don't have much family or friends outside of south florida, hence not really having a specific person to visit or place to go. Not flying airplanes is a huge setback.

Interests

Songwriting, acoustic and electric guitar, various genres of music - playing mainly hard rock but soft acoustic as well. I love being creative & writing songs, meeting people, skateboarding, helping others. My biggest interest at the moment? Traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most people don't like my music, I'm sorry! I'm very independent in many ways. As is my taste in music, I love music but I listen to hardcore to hardcore metal, to acoustic, pop punk, and some indie. Most bands I listen to, people have not heard of. Movies: try not to spend too much time on movies these days, but - Wristcutters A Love Story, Bully, Horrible Bosses 1 & 2, Back to the Future. Books - guided meditation, research, astrology, non-fiction. Not a huge book-reader, perhaps because I have astigmatism (blurry vision) I like to write!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

By age 17 I was operating my very own company, Loud Enterprises. Under the company name spawned a few more ideas: Loud Productions (local live music gig-booking & promoting), Loud Magazine (a punk rock magazine which reached peak level at 5k copies in '99 which was circulated in South FL, LA, & NY), Loud Web & Graphic Design (making websites for several notable bands and record labels), I have done many amazing things for being so young actually! =)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to show anyone around south florida if they are not familiar with the area. I'm always willing to share food with those (traveling or not) that are hungry. I'd like to learn more about 'you' I'd like to explore.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share food, cook for us, tell very epic stories & tales from south florida, I'm usually pretty funny and tell great jokes too. The best thing I can share? My respect toward my host(s), my cleanliness, and my positive vibes.
