About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet like-minded travellers/students/friends and all around good people!

ABOUT ME

This profile has gotten a little bit dusty! After working in Mozambique as an environmental consultant, I came home to Canada where I spend my days doing creative social and environmental advocacy for non profits.

I'm an avid cyclist, reader and an amateur acrobat.

Recent adventures include: sailing around Asia for 2 months with 260 close friends; hitchhiking the width of Canada; setting up and running a camp in Vancouver that teaches youth about sustainability and environmental issues; chasing love from Philly to Washington (it escaped); helping organize a national summit for climate justice; monitoring the federal elections in El Salvador, and getting barred from the UN

PHILOSOPHY

"Each one teach one"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed in a ton of different countries. I recently came home to Halifax after many days of travelling far and wide. Unfortunately I might not be able to host anyone most of the time, but I am happy to meet for coffee and show you around. And I'm always looking for a chance to improve my Spanish.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of the best couchsurfing experiences I had was in Evora, Portugal. I stayed with a group of wonderfully crazy students and musicians. We stayed up all hours drinking and playing music on all types of instruments.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently trying to learn to play the harmonica.
I've got the spoons down.
I can teach you how to set up and run an ngo; and why almost every action you take hurts someone across the world and how we're all doomed!
I love learning more about different religions and spiritual practices and am glad to share what I have found. I can also teach you about sustainability and being environmentally conscious.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great vegetarian cooking!
Poetry
Capoeira
Acro yoga
