About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live those crazy stories I can tell when I'm old.

ABOUT ME

I just received my undergraduate degree in Aerospace at the University of Texas. I consider myself a true Texan and have lived here for most all my life. I grew up in the small insignificant town of Victoria, TX but have been fortunate to travel to many great places early in life. Right now I'm just hanging out until my job starts in California. Hopefully I'll get out of the country and do some more couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed with a couple folks in the Caribbean and been fortunate to host a traveler here in Austin. At the very least I try to meet up with a couchsurfer for a drink anywhere I travel. I have to say that both experiences are equally exciting. You can't possibly have such unique travels without the knowledge and hospitality of a good host. Alternatively, you gain a new appreciation for where you live when helping someone experience it through fresh eyes.

Interests

I've got strong interests in scuba and aviation. Life at sea level is just so boring. I hope to get my private pilot's license when I get out of school. I do most of my diving in local Texas lakes and also enjoy water skiing. I also have a strong passion for good beer. So much in fact, I've started brewing my own beer at home. Texas has a long list of small quality breweries. My favorites are IPAs and stouts (its bitter better). And with that beer I really like to have a spicy Vietnamese dish (any kind of spicy noodle bowl really). I also try and follow NCAA football and baseball. They are the best American sports and the Texas Longhorns are fairly descent at both of them.
