About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the world through food and photography and inspire others to think of the world differently.

ABOUT ME

After working full time in the advertising industry in Australia, it's time to take a career break. I have been travelling for the past 15 months through Central and South America and now Asia and Europe and the Middle East.

I've become more immersed in my photography the longer that I've been travelling so it's become my purpose for travelling of late. Check out my blog if you get a chance.

I'm pretty active, adventurous and a curious explorer. I'm laid back, don't mind a chat over a beer or wine. I love eating and cooking so don't mind helping out in the kitchen wherever I can. I enjoy a wine or three but my partying days a behind me.

I'm fairly independent and low maintenance. My hosts have told me stories of previous guests who expect more than required of their hosts - I am not one of those. I appreciate the effort people go to in order to host people. I always like to repay my hosts with a cooked meal.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge a person by their dreams.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found out about couchsurfing too late but for me, it would be the closest thing to having a local experience, I love landmarks and tourist areas like most people but I enjoy more the stories from people who live in the area that provide a deeper layer on understanding an appreciation for a place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as yet as I signed up just prior to leaving Australia. I'd like to get a local experience and point of view of a new place, not what I can get from a guide book.

Interests

I love to cook, eat and making photos while I'm travelling, particularly in landscape photograohy. I've also recently discovered the joys of writing so I have a blog www.jimmyeatsworld.com that I spend time updating.
