ABOUT ME

I grew up in one paradise, and continue to search for others! My passions include playing and listening to nearly all types of music, climbing, cycling, diving (newish addition to the list), hearing other people's perspective on life, sharing my thoughts with others, writing, reading, eating good food, wandering and (of course) traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

I've spent a lot of time looking into various belief systems/religions to see what grabs me, and I've come to the conclusion that any definable philosophy will only usually last me a few months before it evolves into something else. So at the moment, I'm happy to just keep living without defining it, and just enjoy the ride.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just joined up with CS after always meeting CSers and never CSing myself. About to head off on another trip and through it was hight time to get my butt into gear. That said, I've been 'surfing' and 'hosting' for years, but never been part of the community/website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I grew up in a village that had a constant stream of travelers coming to visit so have been hearing great travel stories most of my life. I think some of the ones that have stuck with me the most weren't the nicest on face value, but inspired me to appreciate what I have. People with tales of the incomprehensible hardship and prejudice they endured really made me realize just how lucky I am.

Also had some great times chatting late into the night, drinking wine, listening to music and saving a stack of money crashing on couches in the UK!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music -All. Seriously, as long as it's not bursting my eardrums or can only be listened to in a non-stop 10 hour session, then I'm interested. I prefer music that has soul, and sparks some sort of feeling, even if it's just that you feel like dancing like a madman.

Books and Movies - If it makes me laugh, makes me think or makes me feel, I like it.
