About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make friends all over the world! Maybe crash on someone's couch too

ABOUT ME

Someone who has recently moved to Sydney for new lifestyle and work. Looking to continue my travel experiences well into life after uni. Love sports and outdoor activity and always involved be that in training, coaching or playing.

Love finding Space invader art pieces wherever I travel. Its a nice icing on top of going sightseeing and is a fun little challenge I appreciate in street art when I am abroad.

Recently I've taken up Chinese learning, I did a 3 month language program in Beijing which was a fantastic experience living abroad. Any Mandarin speakers who want to practice English and Chinese hit me up

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to do more than just relax and party when I'm travelling.
I love meeting new people and really make an effort to interact with locals wherever I go.

Its all about cultural immersion and making new experiences with other people. Anyone can go on a holiday but to really learn something when you travel takes a bit more effort.

Interests

Massive art fan I love to spend hours in galleries and exhibitions.
Huge sports freak, Live to both play and watch sport and always up for a run or throw of the ball. Currently I play tennis but also a big fan of Australian rules footy and rugby union.
Mostly I love learning about new cultures, how people are in different societies and learning new things from another person

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing experience would have to be my volunteer trip in Nepal. Getting to know the people and seeing what little they have compared to us has been a real eye opener. Coming face to face with individuals in serious health and financial risk has changed the way I see the world and shaken up my expectations.

Teach, Learn, Share

I once wrote articles for international students to help them integrate into Australian life whilst they are studying here. Can offer insights into Adelaide life, art culture through stenciling but more generally I'm willing to show people the local pubs and cafes.

Nowadays I occasionally do volunteer work around refugees and new migrants in Australia. My most recent was running a financial literacy workshop delivered to new migrants of Sydney.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories, cultural appreciation, long winded conversations about everything and nothing.
