About Me

I'm a fun loving and easy going guy who takes great interest in other people and their story. I'm always curious to find out what drives people and how they find happiness in this confusing and overwhelming world. I've always been quite good at laughing - human beings play a lot of games with themselves and with each other and it's really all quite funny to observe.

Philosophy:

I believe that cultivation of mind should be the main focus of our existence, and the number of methods in which to achieve this are infinite. My personal favourites are reading, contemplation, discussion and compassion. Travelling definitely helps too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Aren't we all here for the same reason?

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to anything (even metal has its time and place): The Doors, Van Morrison, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Devandra Banhart, Alabama Shakes, Manu Chao, Parov Stelar. And I do love house and techno.
Before Sunrise, Natural Born Killers, Moonrise Kingdom, Inherent Vice
Hate to pick favourites but love Kerouac, Aldous Huxley, Hemingway, Henry Miller. Other favourites are Lolita, The Great Gatsby and Siddartha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maintained a positive attitude despite the current state the world is in... I also herded some reindeers on the back of a reindeer before drinking reindeer milk tea with reindeer cheese (and yes I'm sorry to say I ate reindeer meat too, it was delicious)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got my fair share of idealistic theories on how to save the world, none of which are very well thought out but they are always fun to explore.
I think that everyone is a philosopher and has something they can teach you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Someone to cook with, drink with, talk to, dance with, or even just sit in silence with. I give an excellent neck massage and im great with older generations (especially grandparents)
