About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To circumnavigate the globe on my Vespa.
ABOUT ME
After 9 years living and working in Budapest and Belgrade, I decided to pack it in and see how far I could drive on my Vespa in 14 months -- starting in June, 2010.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a bunch of folks in Budapest and Belgrade, and met up with folks in various cities elsewhere. Was impressed by how knowing somebody in a town you'd otherwise have no connections in could change the tone of a weekend trip entirely. (For the better.)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted around 5 sets of people in Budapest and Belgrade. So far so good! Next up I plan on meeting folks during this Vespa tour.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Johnny Cash, Destroyer, the National, Leonard Cohen, Guided by Voices, the Sadies, Gas, Bonnie Prince Billy, and the Kompakt record label.
The last good movie I saw was A Serious Man. I just finished and enjoyed The Possiblity of an Island by Michel Houellebecq.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A solo 60,000km ride across 42 countries on a 2-stroke Vespa scooter
Teach, Learn, Share
I possess an encyclopedic knowledge of Budapest's better hole-in-the-wall drinkeries. And lately, the same with Belgrade!
