About Me
ABOUT ME
Hi, I am a Liverpudlian/Australian who has been living and studying in Sheffield for the last 6 years. I am an open-minded person who enjoys new experiences, meeting new people and listening to different perspectives on life.I am currently studying a PhD, based on anarchist culture in southern Spain in the early 20th century and am facinated by the history of Spain and its anarchist movement and history in general. I have a wide range of interests, from literature and film, cycling and going out to see live music.
PHILOSOPHY
Open-minded and tolerant.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am relatively new to couchsurfing but have lived in houses where people have come to stay. I have always found these to be positive experiences and I would like to become further involved in this community, the idea of which I would like to support.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I have never directly hosted before I have lived in a couple of houses where my housemates have been hosts to a number of people. I have always found these to be positive experiences and am looking forward to having people to stay in Sheffield. I have also never surfed, this is something I'm really looking forward to getting involved in as I think it will be a fantastic way to see other places and meet new people.
Interests
Films- no criteria in particular beyond 'good', I do tend to like films which make you think. My favourite recent films would probably be There Will Be Blood, Pans Labyrinth and MoonMusic - again, no real defining points beyond what I happen to enjoy. Favourite artists would probably be Radiohead but I like all sorts, intelligent hip-hop, techno, a bit of 70s SkaBooks -A bit repetative but I like a range of literature. I've got a fair collection of dystopian novels, fantastic realism and more general classicsCycling

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent last summer working on a collective goat farm in Andalusia. It was without doubt the most interesting, challenging and memorable experience I have had recently.
