um...not sleeping on the street due to inability to pay for accom?...and to see the world and the aurora borealis (northern lights)!!!

ABOUT ME

im a 20 year old Melbourne girl who is currently studying criminology and Russian. i've got several part time jobs, in which all the profit is going towards moving out. but in this a problem arises as my savings never seems to increase because i keep wasting all of it on going out, shopping, music festivals and TRAVELLING!!!
its a habit i can't seem to kick. so here i am on the road again, in need of a place to stay...please help a lonely traveller in need... :]

PHILOSOPHY

um...i guess i try to live my life to become somebody who i personally would really want to know. and when i get there, i'll be pretty satisfied with life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

well, technically so far all i've done on couch surfing is write this profile...but everyones got to start somewhere, right?
i've slept on friend's couches and have had friend's sleep on mine. and no horror stories involved there. and now, i want to try my hand at sleeping on strangers' couches and have strangers' sleep on mine.
i will try be a really good and respectful surfer, and hopefully be entertaining enough that you won't regret having me on your couch.

i have way too many interests to list.

i like to read, watch movies, learn languages, arts and craft, cooking, the culinary delights of the world (just not the really strange ones. especially the ones i encountered in china...), opera (a result of going to Austria and getting all these standing tickets for the opera), motorbikes, origami, watching documentaries, and a new recent obsession with trying to solve the rubix cube (its hard).

currently, my main goal is just to travel. and travel. and see and meet all sorts of weird and wonderful things and people.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

a 70yr old man who i saw in Qingdao: he had both his feet tied together and was jumping up this steep stone stairway, one step at a time, for a good half an hour, without a single stop or break. he had amazing calves.
