About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I wish I can travel around the world one day!!

ABOUT ME

Wow~tough question! How to exhibit all my personalities at once with only a few words! But, let's have a try:) I'm a vivacious and outgoing girl from China! I love nature and geography. When I was a child, I always went camping with my family. I'm so obsessed with traveling because comparing different cultures and meeting different people are really interesting. Most of places I have been were within Asia, including Thailand, Taiwan, HongKong, Macao. I also visited America twice and now I'm studying in university here! I also love painting and collecting a set of little things like quarters or pins. During my first time visited the US in 2007, I collected a whole set of quarters. I remembered how crazy I was at that time, asking every stranger passing by to exchange quarters! At my second trip to the US due to my participation of a global final of an inter national competition called DI held in Tennessee, I collected more than eighty pins from all around the world, which came from different teams. I'm so proud of collection! In addition, sports is another important thing in my life. I am good at swimming, running and playing badminton. What a healthy life! Oh, did I mention I am a gourmet and also a good cook? Haha, always about food! People who love food love life too. Making delicious food keeps my enthusiasm. I know how to make traditional Chinese dishes, especially Cantonese cuisines. Okay, back to my personality~ I am also a sensitive people. I think a lot in my head. But sometimes it becomes my drawback when I'm too considerate, which will limit my adventure. Anyway, I am always ready to try new things. Can't wait to explore the world with more surprise!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is odyssey, filling with all kinds of obstacles along the way, but so what? Bring it on!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Speaking about traveling experiences, I think the most impressive two were my trips to Thailand and Taiwan with my family. I went to northern and middle part of Taiwan during the spring vacation in 2013. I found that some of the traditional cultures of Taiwan are really interesting and Taiwanese are so hospitable which made me fall in love with the city and also made me decide to travel again! I visited Thailand during the summer vacation. I DIY my own travel route. I only chose to visit Chiang mai and Bangkok. The impression of the city Chiangmai gives me was leisure and cozy, very suitable to take a holiday there. I appreciate the living attitudes of local people there--the pace of life is slow which creates a relaxed atmosphere around--and I yearn for living in that kind of city some time in my life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well... I have never couchsurfing before, if living in a friend's house or a host family doesn't count. But! I will soon have the experience~ That's why we are here right?

updated April, 2014
i went to Seattle during my spring vacation and had my first couch surfing experience with Charles. That was an impressive vacation. Charles is really nice and hospitable. This experience made me want to get involved in couch surfing more and explore more fun!
