About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be good

ABOUT ME

Positive, considerate, sometimes overenthusiastic. Frequent daydreamer grounded by a no-nonsense, loving wife.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep your aim high and your expectations low.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I initially joined couchsurfing in 2006 in order to venture around East Asia while my kids were young (we lived in Japan at the time). Instead, I hosted a lot of people coming through Tokyo, and really enjoyed meeting fellow travelers, since I've lived overseas since 1997.

As work grew busier and my kids grew older, I sort of dropped out of Couchsurfing. Then we left Japan to start slow-traveling full time. That was 2013.

We've been based in Valencia, Spain since 2015.

Interests

New places, new people, new ideas. Music (live & recorded), photography, emerging technology, BBQs & picnics, playtime time with my kids. Not necessarily in that order.
